The European Commission has unveiled its plans to invest jointly with the Member States in building a world-class European supercomputers infrastructure, confirming its commitment to EuroHPC.
The Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science, in partnership with the European Commission, will host the 2018 Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU Flagship conference "Research
The OpenAIRE datathon started on 30 November 2017 and will take place until the end of February 2018.

Science today is difficult to imagine without a strong IT component. In Europe science that depends on IT is called eScience.  IT infrastructures that support eScience are called e-Infrastructures. There is a long tradition to develop e-Infrastructures in Europe, and to try to connect them into continent wide e-Infrastructures. This to allow reasearchers from different countries to work together using the same computers.
